Ever since smartphones first saw the light of day, their triumphant advance has been unstoppable. The number of smartphone owners is increasing every year and more and more functions are being used via the smartphone. This also applies to telephoning. While the landline telephone used to be the most used means of communication, mobile telephony has now landed in first place, so that there are now more call minutes here than with landline telephony. So the trend is clear.

Despite this, more than 80 percent population still have a landline connection. This is mainly related to performance, internet use and, for some people, fear of health consequences.
