Beyond the sex with which we are born — which refers to our organic condition: having a vulva or having a penis -, each and every person in this world lives through a process of differential socialization that tends to turn us into the person that society expect us to be For example, if we have a vulva, the socialization process will influence us to be a woman, feminine, submissive, an object of desire and the availability of the other, a good wife and mother… that is, good providers of the family, the care and affection of others. the others and, as a conclusion, a good patriarchal woman.
The process of differential socialization consists, then, in learning what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman , through the internalization of traditional cultural beliefs, norms and values. However, should all women live without questioning what society proposes? Should they all feel comfortable and manage to fit into this patriarchal social model?
