Why Are My Stories Not Curated on Medium?
Focus more on quality instead of quantity
Writing is a passion of mine, and I enjoy sharing my stories with the world. Sadly, my stories are often not curated on Medium. Reasons why my stories may not be curated on Medium could range from something as simple as a lack of quality to more complex technical issues.
The foremost issue which hinders my stories from being curated is that of quality. Medium, like any other platform, functions to educate and entertain its user, and for that reason content should uphold a level of quality in order to be successfully curated. Being an amateur writer, my stories may often lack the finesse of a professional writer and may consequently miss out on being selected. My writing could be too simplistic with imperfect syntax and grammar, or bedevoid of any detail or story-telling emotion. Even if my stories do entertain, the quality of such content are of the paramount importance to the curation process.
Similarly, the technical aspects of my stories could also be contributing to their non-selection. Generally, Medium prefers stories whose body text occupies at least two columns of text for better readability, along with other prerequisites like the minimum and maximum character count, the size and format of a featured image, etc. My stories may not adhere to…
