iPhone owners often encounter the problem that the screen brightness changes randomly while using the device. The screen dims on its own which annoys users a lot.

iPhones are set to automatically adjust the brightness based on the owner’s location by default. For example, the gadget’s screen becomes lighter outdoors and darker indoors. This is done to save on battery consumption and user convenience. As a rule, a light sensor takes care of adjusting the brightness. All iPhone models have sensors on the front of the device, near the speaker, that adjust screen brightness based on proximity to the light.

So, if your iPhone screen keeps getting dark, here’s how to fix it in different ways.

What are the reasons for dimming the iPhone screen?

The sensor often stops working properly after mechanical damage, for example after a fall on a hard surface. In this case, you need to bring the phone to a service center for diagnosis. There is a possibility that in this case, nothing needs to be repaired, but only the part that may have moved during the impact should be adjusted.
